The hardware included in this kit has been designed to work with multiple years of General Motors vehicles. If your vehicle has existing anchor mounting points installed you may not need all of the provided hardware.

NOTE: This is an installation guide only, designed to aide you during the process of installing your new seat belts. Some installations may not be covered therefore it will be the installers responsibility to determine the safest mounting location.

Step 1 The most challenging part of this conversion kit is locating a place to install the shoulder belt mount or third point of your new seat belt system. Depending on your vehicle you can either create the mounting location in the B pillar, above the rear quarter glass or below the quarter glass. The diagram below shows 2 of the 3 locations that can be used. convertible cars will use the location below the quarter glass. Step 2 Here is an example showing the mount located above the quarter glass. Step 3 After creating the shoulder loop mount you can determine where you will mount the retractor on the floor. Always look under the car for any wiring harness, fuel lines, brake lines, etc and that you have enough clearance with the frame to access the nut and washer when tightening the hardware. The photo to the left shows how the hardware is mounted to the retractor. Step 4 Once installed you can place the black anchor bar towards the front of the vehicle. You can vary the angle to provide a smooth transition according to the seat location so the lap belt rides across the hip of the occupant.
