- Drill a 1/2" hole centered in the small hole from the coat hook. Position adapter plate over the hole and make a small hole to drill for pop rivets.
- Drill pop rivet holes using a 5/32" drill bit.
- Cut a slot in roof structure large enough to enable the adapter plate to drop into place.
- Loop a small string through one of the rivet holes before you drop the plate into the slot. Position the plate inside the structure to align withthe rivet hole. Using an anchor bolt may help to position the plate.
- Rivets can now be installed to secure the adapter plate in place.
Caution: When drilling the floor, make sure not to drill into fuel lines, brake lines, electrical wires, or anything other than the floor sheetmetal. Ensure the floor metal is not compromised due to corrosion or other issues. Position the retractor as close to the sill plate as possible without causing interference problems.
