1993-2002 Camaro Seat Belt Installation Instructions

1. Remove trim at the upper retractor and remove the retractor from the roof structure.
2. Save hardware to be reused when reassembling.
3. Open the cover in the rear of the lap retractor housing and remove the bolt holding the retractor in place.
4. Remove the assembly from the car and cut webbing between the lap retractor and tongue.
5. Drill out the rivet in the side of the retractor housing and drop the retractor out of the bottom.

1. Assemble retracors and floor anchors without hardware to familiarize yourself with the way the new seat belt installs in your car.
2. Attach the hosusing mount bracket to the housing with a #8-32 screw, taking note the bracket is installed parallel with the sill plate (bottom) edge of the housing.
3. Slip the anchor through the web slot in the retractor housing and bolt in place of the oroginal lap retracor reusing the original bolt.
4. Attach the new retractors to the roof structure using the original hardware taking care not to twist the seat belt webbing.
5. Reassemble the headliner trim parts.
