What is a 3 Point Retractable Seat Belt?
A 3 Point Seat Belt is a safety harness built in a "Y" shaped configuration. It has 3 Mounting points. The right lap mount, Left lap mount, and a Shoulder mount.
3 Point Set Belts help restrain the chest & shoulder portion of a passenger in a collision. Retractable 3 Point Seat Belts feature a Inertia Locking Retractor Mechanism that retracts and stores webbing when the seat belt is not in use. The retractor also stores loose webbing when the seat belt is in use, and provides a snug fit for passenger without being restrictive. Our Inertia locking retractors spool freely under normal use, but lock up immediately when a sharp tug on the webbing engages the centrifugal clutch inside the retractor housing. Are your Seat Belts Safe?
Three point lap and shoulder seat belts are typically the minimum required seat belts in most cars manufactured after 1968. Check with your local DMV for minimum seat belt requirements. All our retractable seat belts are assembled, sewn and finished in the USA and are federally compliant and meet or exceed strict federal safety regulations such as FMVSS209 & SAE J386 to name a few.
We will NOT sell foreign assembled seat belts that have to met US federal guidelines.
Which 3 Point Seat Belt will fit my car?
Our three point lap and shoulder retractable seat belts are available in a number of different colors and styles of latching mechanisms. These seat belts will fit numerous applications with little or no modifications to your vehicle. However, our aftermarket 3 Point Retractable Seat Belts are non-vehicle specific. We will not match a universal aftermarket seat belt to any specific car. We ask customers to find a match by comparing total length of webbing, length required on buckle side, and style of buckle.
Please note :
- ** Our universal seat belts are generic by design. They will fit most vehicles with little or no modifications but
are NOT O.E. factory replacement bolt-in products. Due to the fact they are not Original for your car, some modifications or drilling new mounts may possibly be required for installation. If you are not comfortable with making modifications please contact your vehicles dealership and ask for Original Equipment seat belts that are designed specifically for your car.
- The retractor must be mounted beneath the shoulder Loop and feed vertically.
Either mount to the door pillar or mount on the floor with an "L" bracket.
- Measure your seat belt buckle to ensure a match in length.
- We do not sell original factory seat belts or OEM replacement parts for any car.
Do not mix/match different seat belt manufacturers.
